Veteran Philly Christian Emcee HanSoul was formerly a top ten billboard secular rap artist with releases on Epic Sony and Loud Records/BMG respectively in the 1990’s. Hans appeared to be riding the wave of a successful hip hop career with two major record deals also with appearances and performances on BET’s Teen Summit & Rap City, Arsenio Hall’s Party Machine, Pump it Up etc. and tour dates with secular hip hop artists like EDOG & Da Bull Doggs, Big Daddy Kane, Chubb Rock, Kwame, Father MC, House of Pain, Funk Doobiest, 3rd Base, Shabba Ranks etc. However, a few weeks prior to releasing his third project at the height of what appeared to be a very successful secular career, Hans was called out of darkness and into The Lord’s marvelous Light. Since then HanSoul has released 6 Christian hip hop albums.

 

Hans just wrapped production on the  film Jesus Saves! the True Story of a Philly Emcee Part 1 and  Part 2 & a 7 part series that is in conjunction with the two part movie. Jesus Saves! Part 1 The True Story of a Philly Freestyle Emcee had it's Red Carpet Premiere @ The Historic Met Philly on April 3, 2022 to a crowd of approximately 800 people. We are pressing to release it in theaters & digitally in Spring of 2025. Part1 and Part 2 are based on Hans' life story and testimony. Hans Directed, Produced, Wrote and acted in Part 1 & Part 2. Producers on the film include Will Thomas & NBA Vet John Salmons & others. 

 

The movie & series is an extremely transparent story of a man's struggle battling mental illness & suicide as well and shares the way of hope he received to overcome the pain.
